Ningbo Xikou Sky Lake Scenic Spot Construction Project

Sky Lake Scenic Spot Construction Project is expected to be constructed in the Snow Hole Scenic Area in Xikou, Ningbo. The total area is about 10,000,000m2. The mountains here extend to the eastwest joining the south and north water systems. The number of mountains which are over 150m high reaches 12.  More than 10 cliffs, 3 natural grottoes and 2 reservoirs lie in this typical Danxia landform area. More than 90% of this area is covered by plants. The lake and the hills add radiance and beauty to each other The scenic spot is close to provincial highway Jiangba Line and Ningbo-Jinhua Expressway neighbouring Xikou and Tengtou scenic areas. Owing to its convenient transportation, it brings sound market-driven radiation effect. There are more than 1,000,000m2 low hill and gentle slopes exploitable at the scenic spot. Current general plan is approved by expert panel, and the planning is positioned to build the first national lifestyle expo hall for lifestyle vacations, create first brand of lifestyle vocations in the East China, drive the tourism development of Xikou by developing lifestyle products. The area are divided into four functional zones: art, commerce and trade zone, corporate culture exchange center, leisure entertainment zone and lifestyle vocation zone. The project will be developed as planned in the “general plan, execution in phase”. In the first phase, RMB200 million is to be invested and 2,000,000m2 area is to be developed and it will cost nearly 3 years. The total investment will amount to RMB1.26 billion.
